DJ HUMILITY,JAJ DISAGREE ON AIR OVER DAVIDO AND DBANJ

Two of Nigeria’s leading Disc Jonckeys,DJ Humility and JAJ(Jacob Akinyemi Johnson) disagreed live on silverbird television over Davido and Dbanj yesterday.
Interestingly,it was on ‘Top Ten on STV’ a music chart show hosted by the two veteran DJs.
It was nothing short of embarrasment for JAJ who thought he was speaking authoritatively when he said Davido has been signed on Dbanj’s record label.DJ Humility quickly punctured JAJ’s statement, insisting that Dbanj never signed Davido whether on his own label or any other one he was representing in Africa.
When JAJ went on to say,he saw photos of the two and the news everywhere,Humility said he was told by the official manager of Davido that nothing like that happened.Dbanj never signed Davido it was all lies,Humility whose real name is Benedict Afagwu insisted.

Usher’s son involved in an accident

Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond’s 11 year old son, Kyle Glover, was critically injured in a jet ski accident on Lake Lanier on Saturday July 7th. Kyle and a friend, a 15 year old girl, were being pulled in an inner tube when a 38 year old man on a jet ski crashed into them, striking Kyle in the head and knocking him unconscious. He was airlifted to Atlanta’s Egelston Hospital, where doctors battled to save his life.

Tameka, who was not in town at the time, was flown home on a private jet chartered by Usher, who remains by her side. 

Unfortunately now TMZ is reporting that doctors have declared the 11 year old brain dead. He has experienced zero brain activity since the accident. So sad. May God be with them!

High Court sentences man to death for stealing N1,705….Where is Is Farouk Lawan?

A Jos High Court on Thursday sentenced a 26-year-old man, Obinah John, to death by hanging for robbing one Dorothy Olaniyi of N1,705. The convict was also sentenced to death for robbing Olaniyi of two rolls of peak milk in sachets, valued at N400.

The prosecution counsel, Mr G. D. Fwonyon, who is the deputy director, Public Prosecution in Plateau State had told the court that John, in company with an accomplice, also named John, now at large, robbed the woman on November 18, 2005 in her shop at Gada Biu, Jos at gunpoint.
He told the court that John and his accomplice, having allegedly conspired and used a gun to rob Olaniyi, had committed a criminal offence punishable by hanging.
But John’s counsel, Mr. Tobechukwu Kekemeke, rejected the prosecutor’s claim, and accused the police of “not telling the truth about the gun” said to have been used by John.

Kekemeke pointed out that the police presented three statements, with only the last indicating a confession by the accused that he used a gun against the victim.

The defence counsel further argued that the prosecution had failed to prove to the court that the accused actually used a gun to commit the act.

He asked the court to throw out the case for lack of diligent prosecution, arguing that “the circumstances of the third statement, in which John was said to have admitted ownership of the gun, is suspect.”
In a 60-page judgment, Justice Yargata Nimpa said the evidence before the court had shown that the accused committed the offence and sentenced John to death by hanging.

“The accused is hereby sentenced to death by hanging, but the judgement is liable to an appeal,” Nimpa declared.

Kekemeke told the News Agency of Nigeria that he would appeal against the verdict.
“The convict has the right to appeal against the judgment. It is not a judgment that we are satisfied with, so we are definitely going to appeal at the Court of Appeal,” he vowed.

Boko Haram: Northern leaders have the answer – Iwuanyanwu

Frontline politician and a member of the Board of Trustees, BoT, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has urged the Federal Government to hold northern leaders responsible for the increasing spate of violence by the Boko Haram Islamist sect in the north.

The publisher of Champions Newspaper Ltd said this at an event organised in honour of the retiring Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Dahiru Musdapher, in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to him, “Boko Haram problem cannot be solved by killing or shooting people. It can only be solved by the leaders in the areas where they operate.

“The massive killings must stop. Nigerians must feel free to travel to various parts of the country without fear. Nigerians must worship their God according to their faith without fear of being killed or bombed in their places of worship.”

He said: “MASSOB has a lot of capacity for destruction, but we, the leaders intervened and called them to order. We have been able to explain to them that their aspirations can be met without violence, bloodshed, massacre or bombing of any Nigerian citizen.

“It is on record that there has been no violence in any of the states neither at the national level because the leadership in the South-East has been able to keep them under control. Boko Haram problem cannot be solved by killing or shooting people. The leaders must call them to order. The problem of Boko Haram cannot be solved by Federal Government alone.

“It can only be solved by the leaders from the areas where they reside. The leaders must emphasise to them the benefit we gain by living together as brothers and sisters. I do not agree with some people who justify killing innocent people because people are unemployed or poor. All over the world, including the rich advanced countries, there are poor people, there are unemployed people.

Speaking further, Iwuanyanwu said: “I sincerely appeal to Boko Haram for a ceasefire, while allowing the leaders and elders from the various states and zones where they operate to have dialogue with them. I also appeal to the Federal Government, as a reciprocal gesture, to stop the use of the military in handling this matter because of the great risk of killing innocent citizens in the process.”

U.S. To Label Boko Haram leaders

The U.S. government is expected to formally apply a “foreign terrorist” label on Thursday to three alleged leading figures of the violent Nigerian militant group Boko Haram, officials said.

The action by the State and Treasury departments follows growing pressure on the Obama Administration to take stronger action against Boko Haram. The group, which says it wants to establish an Islamic caliphate in northern Nigeria, has stepped up attacks on Christian places of worship this year.

Thursday’s anticipated action, officials said, involves applying the “terrorist” designation to three men presumed to be central figures in the group.

The three individuals, an official said, are Abubakar Shekau, aged around 43, described as a Boko Haram leader who allegedly aligned himself with al Qaeda in a video message; Abubakar Adam Kambar, aged roughly 35; and Khalid al Barnawi, aged approximately 36. All three are native Nigerians.

The expected action will freeze any assets they have in the United States, and bar U.S. persons from any transactions with them.

Reprisal attacks: Muslims demonstrate in Kaduna, with AK-47s

Nigerian Muslims took to the streets in Kaduna on Tuesday, firing AK-47s, burning tyres and destroying at least one church, two days after rioting by Christian youths killed several people, witnesses told Reuters.

Multiple gunshots were heard across the city where at least 52 people were killed on Sunday in retaliatory violence after suspected Islamist suicide bombings of three churches in Kaduna State that killed 19 Christians.

Religiously mixed Kaduna is near the volatile “Middle Belt”, where the mostly Christian south and largely Muslim north meet and the city has sometimes been a sectarian flashpoint.

“They are out on the streets, burning tyres and shooting. They burnt a church,” said a witness, who only gave his first name, Suleiman, for fear of reprisals.

It was not immediately clear if the shots were fired into the air or at people or other targets. There was no word on casualties.

In Damaturu, residents reported gunfire and explosions throughout the night. The Yobe State government imposed a 24-hour curfew as the military fought with gunmen.

The protests in Kaduna followed attacks on Sunday by angry Christian youths who set up roadblocks, dragged Muslims from their vehicles and killed them, according to witnesses.

Kaduna’s government re-imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state, less than a day after relaxing restrictions.

They also alleged that she is also dating Hon. Emeka Ihedioha Deputy speaker in Nigeria’s low house of parliament (House of Representatives)

Boko Haram promises bloodier days and recruits over 500 suicide bombers…S

The terrorist group have vowed to continue deadly attacks on churches and individuals and have included government buildings in their list of targets. They said the coming weeks will be the deadliest so far!

They also said they plan to avenge the killings of Muslims in Jos and Southern Kaduna which happened on Sunday and Monday June 17th and 18th. The killings, which was bloody, were reprisal attacks by Christians in Southern Kaduna and Plateau after the bombings of three churches on Sunday June 17th that left over 33 people dead.

Its been revealed that the sect has recruited over 500 suicide bombers and they plan to attack churches simultaneously in the coming days.
